All DESTILL.ai software, including the SDK, dashboards, and evaluation tools, is released under the DESTILL AEGIS Evaluation License v1.0 — a purpose-built license that enables free evaluation while protecting our intellectual property.

Why Not Open Source?

💡 Our Philosophy: Open Evaluation, Protected Innovation

We believe everyone should be able to test AI safety tools for free. But the 18 months of R&D that produced the 114-agent cascade, the φ-harmonic tuning, and the 12-Sigma metrology framework represent genuine innovation that deserves patent protection.

Traditional open-source licenses (MIT, Apache, GPL) would allow competitors to copy the architecture without contributing back. Our Evaluation License ensures:

Researchers can test, benchmark, and publish freely
Enterprises can evaluate before committing to commercial licensing
The innovation remains protected for licensing and acquisition
